double page spread "slayer"

This double page spread featuring slayer is clearly presenting them in the back and white picture. the font stands out because it's bold and the interview is clear to read because it has the name of the person who is speaking in bold and then what they have said. the colour scheme is appropriate for the article and the band they are portraying. The yellow is almost flouresant which makes the bold balck font on top satnd out even more. and the contrast of them being in baclk and white and the bright yellow makes them look more rock n roll. This would stand out to the reader also because of the snippet qoute from one of the members of the band reading " Ill try and come across a little scarier..." which is an example of sarcasm and therefore will intice the reader to read the interview because it comes across as humorous. Overall the spread is interesting and would stand out to the reader if they were flicking through the magazine.

double page spread "The chapman family"

This double page spread is eyecatching even though it is simple and not so colourful. The large bold white font infront of the picture of the band makes the article stand out to the reader. This is because it makes it seem of importance and if the reader is simply flicking through the magazine in a secondary consumer manor it will stand out to them and especially if they are interested in "The Chapman Family". The picture of the them is aristic and shows how they have a layed back rock n roll lifestyle byt the way they all look relaxed sitting down and are wearing rock fashion attire . The colour scheme of the spread matches appropriately to the colouring of the picture with the white staircase and walls in the room that was photographed. which then makes a good contrast for the way they are dressed and makes them stand out even more to the audience. The article is clear to read and has a snippet of the article to intice the reader to read the full interview.

INDIE GO!!! MUSIC MAGAZINE FRONT COVER

my media product uses a similar convention to that of real media products by giving a preview on the front cover which intices the audience by using bold fonts bright, eyecatching colours and a free item in the magazine to persuade the audience to buy the item.

book shops, whsmiths and all kinds of papershops would probably distribute my product, also conveneance shops would sell it.

people who are interested in the indie genre of music would buy my magazine because that is who its aimed at and contains information that would apply to there lifestyle.

I attracted my audience with free headphones for listening to their favourite music and for a spare pair, which is a useful insentive in order to by the magazine, and by having an interview with an up and coming indie artist, which will make the reader want to know what is said by the new musician.

i have learnt that technologys such as using this blog is an affective way to get all my work together and that publisher is a beneficial and efficient programme to use to create a magazine front cover and contents page.
